How to Stay Bikini Hot on Your Beach Vacation
Posted by Alison Gardiner on June 19, 2012You’ve got your sexy MINX bikinis and been dieting and working out in preparation for a great beach vacation. You look great and feel great and you’re on your way to somewhere as gorgeous as you are. The last thing you want is to undo all that hard work while you’re having fun. If you want to look as good on the last day of vacation as you do on your first, follow these easy tips.
Eat, Love, Play
One of the highlights of any vacation is enjoying all of the delicious local foods. You should indulge in some great meals, but you can do it without being bloated and lethargic by Day Two. No one wants to hit the beach in a hot bikini with a belly pooch as the focal point!
One of the best things you can do is fill up on the great local produce that’s abundant in sunny locales. Eat plenty of fruit, especially water-rich fruits such as melons and citrus. They’ll fill you up and satisfy your sweet tooth without adding a lot of calories. Have salads with lots of veggies and a light dressing instead of burgers or heavy sandwiches.
Splurges are best saved for breakfast, when you’ll have more time to work them off at the beach, on the tennis court or dancing the night away later.
Stick with seafood such as fish, shrimp, crab and other delicacies that are often fresh and fairly cheap in beach areas.
Stay away from cream sauces and enjoy your seafood broiled or steamed with a little olive oil and lemon instead of drawn butter.
Watch the Cocktails
If you want to enjoy a few drinks in the afternoon or during an evening out, choose wisely. Alcohol can quickly dehydrate you, leaving you looking tired and drawn. This isn’t the look you’re going for. Frothy drinks such as daiquiris are packed with calories, so they’re best avoided. Try wine, a wine spritzer or champagne for a lighter alternative.
If you really prefer hard alcohol, drink it with water, tonic or a bit of fruit juice rather than frozen concoctions that contain more calories than you bikini can handle.
The Beach is a Great Place to Work Out!
You’re not likely to want to forgo every delectable treat you see, so take advantage of your location and work off a few of those calories in a beautiful setting. It’ll be a lot more pleasant than your local gym and give you some leeway to enjoy that rich dessert.
Walking or running on the beach is one of the best exercises you can get. The softness of the sand makes your calves, thighs and bottom work a great deal harder than a treadmill or sidewalk can. For an added punch, try walking or running in ankle-deep water. The extra resistance gets incredible results.
are meant to be fun, relaxing and rejuvenating. You want to enjoy everything your destination has to offer, but you’ll enjoy it more with that body confidence that makes you feel like the sexiest woman on the beach.
